On May 13th and 14th, 2023, the Saint-Pons and Sainte-Brigitte districts revived a tradition deeply rooted in Fréjus' history. Between processions, blessings, music, and shared moments, the Saint-Pons Festival brought the city's Provençal roots to life.
This press release recounts the history of this celebration, which originated in the 16th century and is dedicated to Saint Pons, the patron saint of peasants and farmers. It also highlights the key events of the 2023 edition: procession, mass, traditional dance, aioli meal, children's activities, and musical performances.
