Every first weekend of September, Saint-Aygulf revives one of its oldest traditions. A procession, Provençal music, and a popular gathering mark this day dedicated to the memory of Saint Aygulphe.
This press release presents the Saint-Aygulf Festival , its history, and the highlights of this traditional celebration: the arrival of the traditional fishing boat carrying the statue of the saint, the procession to the church, the salutes of the bravadeurs (a group of revelers), the "danse de la souche" (a traditional Provençal dance), a meal featuring a giant aioli, and a concert. An event deeply rooted in the Provençal traditions of the neighborhood.
