In 1974, the lake was created with a dam 204 metres long and 15 metres high.
The lake covers 5,5 hectares and holds water with a capacity of 33 m³.
You reach the lake by taking the Avellan trail from the Col du Testanier. It is therefore a little adventure in itself to get there.
The road, open from 6 a.m. to 21 p.m. (except in cases of fire risk), then takes you to this peaceful body of water.
Around the lake, the intense green of the Mediterranean forests is beautifully reflected in the calm waters.

Please note that boats and swimming are prohibited.
