Plage des Esclamandes

The beaches of Saint-Aygulf are considered the most beautiful on the Côte d'Azur. They are large beaches of fine sand that stretch for several kilometers.
Family beach, paradise for little ones, who can play safely on this fine sand cleaned and finely raked every morning.

Location reserved for holiday camps.

You can also find a bit of privacy at the foot of the palm trees dotted here and there at the back of the beach.

A glimpse into History

In Roman times, the area of the ponds did not exist. In 2000 years, the beach has advanced into the sea by about 1200 m. This beautiful beach had lost its dunes when the Malpasset dam broke on December 2, 1959. The acquisition of the Villepey Ponds by the Conservatoire du Littoral allowed the preservation of this strip of coastal ponds, unique on the Côte d'Azur. A rehabilitation of this exceptional site has been undertaken.

Four beautiful coves of fine sand have been created, thus increasing the surface area of the beach.
