> ITINERARY
From the Malpey forest house, follow the mountain pass road to the Col de l'Aire de l'Olivier.
Take the road of the passes to the forest house of the Duchess. Go around the house to see the magnificent stone wash house.
Retrace your steps to take the start of the GR then follow the trail straight ahead. At the bottom of the path, the bad weather has washed everything away. Take the path on the other side of the valley on the left. Then follow the draye (very poorly maintained) for 500 m to the Perthus track.
Start the descent to a crossroads and turn right towards the climb of the Maison des Charretiers (in ruins) for 850m. Enjoy the sea view over Fréjus.
Leave Les Charretiers to take the track passing through the Colle Noire crossroads then, after 2.7 km, turn right for 175 m to reach the Malavalettes house (also in ruins). These two houses serve as a refuge for bats, a protected species.
Take the Malavalettes trail. After 1.4 km on the left, follow the signs from the cairn: turn left and go down into the valley to a concrete platform.
Cross the stream and climb for 2.7 km to the Porfait canteen. Pass the canteen then, when you reach the asphalt, turn 180° for 170 m then take the track on the left which climbs furthest to the right towards Aigre.
At the top of Aigre, at an altitude of 450m, enjoy the panorama over the bay of
Saint-Raphael.
Start the descent to the road workers' house which serves as a vacation spot
summer for ONF staff. Then return to the Malpey forest house via the old Italian road.
