Created nearly 40 years ago, the Federation of Independent Winegrowers of Var, which became the Federation of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur-Corsica, brings together around 400 members, who represent 87% of the private wineries in the department. The Federation brings together winegrowers from the departments of Alpes-Maritimes, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Corsica and Var. These winegrowers produce wines with a protected designation of origin, wines with a Protected Geographical Indication or without a geographical indication. For Var, the AOP Bandol, Côtes de Provence and Coteaux Varois and for the other departments, the AOP Bellet, Coteaux de Pierrevert, Coteaux d'Aix and various AOPs of Corsica.
The Federation is a union that supports members on a daily basis in defending their profession. It helps to increase the skills of winegrowers in all aspects of their activity, by providing them with numerous professional services: advice, training, legal defense, information, commercial support.
