The Fréjus nativity scene: a journey through time, a tribute to traditions
In Fréjus, Christmas is an invitation to discover the town's history and traditions through a living nativity scene. Since 2019, the Tourist Office has taken on the challenge of preserving the magic of the Provençal nativity scene while recounting local history. It's a heritage shared by residents and visitors alike.
Fréjus between 1850 and 1930: an era, a collective project
The nativity scene recreates Fréjus between 1850 and 1930, a time marked by simplicity and tradition. This project is a collective effort driven by a love of the city and its roots. The Santons d'Analy, a local workshop, contribute to the authenticity of this work. Maxime, a promotion manager, infuses it with his passion for Fréjus, blending magic and history into each scene.
