Yanns, whose real name is Yannick Schweitzer, is a French singer-songwriter born in 1998 in Metz. Born to a father of Portuguese descent and a mother of Spanish gypsy descent, he was immersed in a musical environment from a young age. At 12, he moved to Nancy to join the AS Nancy-Lorraine training center, hoping for a career in football. However, a cruciate ligament injury put an end to this ambition, pushing him to turn to his passion for music.
In 2020, Yanns began sharing his compositions on TikTok, where he achieved dazzling success. His track “Bébé” quickly attracted attention, earning him a spot on the Believe label. He followed that up with the single “Mon chouchou,” which garnered millions of views on YouTube. His debut album, “Bambino,” was released in 2021, followed by “Cœur brisé” the same year. In 2022, he released “Pays des merveilles,” featuring the hit “Clic clic pan pan,” which was certified diamond. His fourth album, “Partir loin,” was released in December 2022, cementing his place on the French music scene.
Yanns is known for his ability to blend urban pop sounds with Latin influences, creating catchy tracks that resonate with a wide audience. His dynamic social media presence and constant interaction with his fans have largely contributed to his rapid rise in the music industry.
