Focus on…. the torchlight guided tour
On some Friday evenings, the Fréjus Tourist Office organises a free torchlight tour. This experience is escorted by the VIII Octavia Legion, a historical reenactment association focused on the Roman era. Dressed in superb period costumes, they will show you the city's Roman monuments. During the tour, you can also watch a gladiator demonstration, adding a spectacular touch to the event. The evening ends in style with a tasting of mulled wine, for a total immersion in history and the festive atmosphere.
Participating in the torchlight tour in 2023 was an incredible experience! Between the magnificent costumes of the VIII Octavia legion, the discovery of Roman monuments and the demonstration of gladiators, I really felt like I was going back in time. All topped off with a delicious mulled wine… an unforgettable memory that I recommend to everyone!
